Privacy policy

Plain-language notes on what woic.ai stores, what it does not store by default, and how you stay in control.

Last updated: 2026-05-26.

Call data

We do not record your calls by default

We do not claim zero data. That would not be true for a service that has to run a phone. We keep only what is needed to operate woic.ai, support safety, and show your own history.

Account

What your account stores

Email, handle, password hash, and display name.
Answer mode, routing rules, hours, blocks, and trusted callers.
Push subscription endpoints if you enable notifications.
The date and version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted at signup.
Calls

What call history stores

Who called you, when, and for how long.
Whether the call went to AI or a human.
The reason the caller typed and basic technical metadata needed to debug call quality.
Reports and ratings you submit.
Retention

Data retention and automatic purging

We automatically purge personally-identifiable network metadata (IP addresses and browser user-agent strings) from completed calls after 90 days. Caller name and email are retained longer because they are surfaced in your inbox and contacts. You can delete individual calls or your entire account from Settings at any time.

AI

When AI is enabled

AI transcripts and summaries are created only when AI mode is enabled, and only kept in woic.ai for as long as you choose to keep them. To answer with AI, we may send call content and related context to the selected AI provider, such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Anthropic.

Processors

Services that help run woic.ai

We may use infrastructure, notification, analytics, payment, and AI providers to deliver the service. They receive only the data needed for their role, such as processing AI replies, sending push notifications, handling payments, hosting the app, or diagnosing reliability issues. AI providers may process and retain submitted prompts, audio, transcripts, outputs, metadata, and safety signals according to their own current terms, privacy, data processing, retention, and abuse-monitoring policies.

Provider data

AI provider policies apply

When your calls are routed to AI, the data handling, security, and usage rules of the selected provider apply. We do not control these third-party services and their policies may change over time. You must perform your own research and review their latest terms:

OpenAI: Subject to OpenAI’s Business Privacy Policy. View their latest Enterprise Privacy commitments.
Anthropic: Subject to Anthropic’s Commercial Terms. View their latest Commercial Terms.
Google Gemini: Subject to Google’s Developer Terms. View their latest Gemini API Terms.
Safety

Abuse prevention and security logs

To protect users and the platform, we may retain reports, ratings, IP-derived abuse signals, device/browser metadata, audit logs, and fraud or rate-limit events for longer than ordinary call history when needed for safety, legal, or security reasons.

Control

Export, deletion, and lawful requests

You can export or delete your data from Settings. Some records may be kept where needed for security, abuse prevention, payment records, legal compliance, dispute handling, or service integrity. Lawful requests are reviewed individually, and we will notify you unless legally prohibited.
